MINIMUM HEALTH SAFETY PROTOCOLS FOR ALL GNC PERSONNEL

A.Y. 2020-2021

 

I. FOR SCHOOL REOPENING AND ITS ESSENTIAL SERVICES 

A. Ensuring proper health and safety of all personnel at all times: 

  1. No work for personnel with COVID-19 symptoms, or with exposure to COVID-19 patients
  2. Checking and recording of personnel’s temperature check before and after work shift, as well as health     declaration for the last two weeks before reporting to work.
  3. No wearing of pieces of jewelry (e.g., rings, bracelets, watches, earrings, exposed body piercings, etc.).
  4. Observance of proper personal hygiene (e.g. clipped fingernails, observance of company-imposed personal     sanitation, etc.)
  5. Washing of hands at least once every hour or after every encounter with guests
  6. Keeping the distance of 1.5meters between personnel during face to face communication
  7. Mandatory wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as, face mask or face shield
  8. Observance and enforcement of the client-personnel interaction protocols
  9. Work schedules:
    • 50% of employees to work on 2 weeks straight and 2 weeks WFH.
    • Strict observance of social distancing measures in all parts of the school:
      • no loitering/ going from one office to another unless necessary
      • no communal eating of meals

B. Posting of information materials at the entrance and other prominent areas on the following: 

  1. Enforcement of a no mask, no entry policy
  2. Social distancing protocols of the school
  3. Availability of alternative methods of payment for tuition fees
  4. Availability of alternative methods of enrollment (e.g., online, via text or phone calls, on-site)
  5. Clients below 21 years of age are not allowed to enter unless accompanied by parents or guardians

C. Requiring the placing of the following at the entrance of school premises: 

  1. Floor mat with disinfectant
  2. A calibrated thermal scanner for temperature reading (Clients with a temperature of more than 37.5 degrees     Centigrade, or a cough, colds or shortness of breath shall not be allowed to enter the school premises and      shall be advised to proceed to the nearest hospital)
  3. 70% alcohol that can be easily sprayed on the hands
  4. Health checklist for clients to fill-out
  5. Queueing area while waiting to be seated with a Roving Officer for compliance with social distancing of one (1) meter between persons and that face masks are worn

D. Installing the following system at every essential service offices: 

  1. Face to face encounter allowed only with proper dividers
  2. Visible floor markings for guidance of clients in queueing
  3. Alcohols or Hand sanitizers within reach
  4. Ballpens/ sign pens within reach for client’s use

II. FOR TEACHING AND LEARNING MODALITY

GNC adopts Blended Learning Modality

 A. Modular Learning 

  • Parents/ guardians are allowed to pick up student’s modules, activity sheets
  • For questions regarding lessons and activities, teachers are available via phone calls, text messages,                messengers

B. Online Learning

  • Rest assured that the school adopts the Privacy Act to protect the student’s rights and safety
  • The school sees to it that Cyber Bullying and unnecessary exposure of students in social media will           be prevented

C. Face to Face Learning

  • This is only applicable to College students under the Advisory of CHED and the IATF
  • 50% of the class will be reporting to class on a shifting basis, maximum of two days a week
  • observing physical social distancing with proper PPEs (face masks, face shields, lab gowns)
