Montessorians Participated in the Scariest Trick or Treat
In other countries, Halloween is a big deal: time to plan the best spooky costumes, time to get a whole tub of sweets and goodies through trick or treats, and a time to hop on one party after another. It’s such a merry time to spend a night of terror and fun– that is, when you celebrate it in countries like U.S. where they have a different culture of celebrating this event. In the Philippines, it’s somehow different.
Casa and Grade School Montessori adapted the usual Trick or Treat activity held on October 25, 2019. It is celebrated yearly before All Saints Day on the first day of November. The activity started in the morning at 8:00 inside the GNC Campus.
The pupils arrived with their tricky costumes together with their baskets. They roamed around some offices such as the Elementary, High School and College Faculty, Guidance, Registrar, Library, President’s office and many more.
Montessorians went wild when they walked along the corridors while saying “Happy Halloween! Trick or Treat?” Then, the person who’s been asking was the one to give them candies. The activity ended when the pupils finished all the offices and received their candies. They went back to their respective classrooms and make them count every piece of candies they have collected.
